The Spirit of Goya

On Sunday 12 October sixteen young dancers reimagined Goya’s legacy through a compelling dialogue of movement. Blending contemporary dance with flamenco, hip-hop and krump, The Spirit of Goya creates a vibrant encounter between art history and today’s urban expression. Directed by Alex Akuete, in collaboration with Gaetano Vestris Terrana, Fanny Christina Van Geel, Yamuna Kyamo Huygen and Nora Fagbemi, this twenty-minute performance invites audiences to experience Goya’s critical and visionary spirit in motion.
