Inside Sounds

Sáiz has been a pioneer of the Spanish experimental music scene since the late 1970s. For EUROPALIA he composed the work Inside sounds, based on his reflections on Francisco de Goya’s deafness and how a deaf person might experience sounds.

The musicians of Echo Collective have called in extra string players, brass and vibraphones to offer a post-classical riposte to Sáiz with the voice and harp. Two nationalities, two generations and an unending source of inspiration.
