Dragon, rest your head on the seabed

  • Olympisch zwemcentrum Wezenberg, Antwerp

In this enchanting water choreography, which takes place in a swimming pool, a dragon rises from the water, stretching its claws, splashing, spitting and bubbling in all its watery splendor. With this monstrous being, the piece challenges the neat codes of conformity and is at the same time a celebration of mutual connection. It reminds us that we are water bodies, fluid and permeable, connected to each other by the same element. The result is a space where equality and difference, synchrony and dissonance move together as parts of one shimmering whole. A unique event with six Spanish synchronized swimmers in the opening week of the festival.
