Medium

Every culture has rituals in which the body becomes the instrument or ‘medium’ for communication between the dead and the living. The body is possessed, and the spirit manifests itself through voice, music, movement or dance. In the modern West, there is little room for the supernatural in daily life. Nowadays, an abundance of fleeting, visual content is created that spreads quickly and widely via the internet. These images also occupy our imaginations. In Medium, the body becomes a medium in which all these images, stories, memories, dreams and desires are expressed, set to music by Stephen O’Malley/SUNN O))).
