FALLA Imaginado

  • KMSKA, Antwerp

FALLA Imaginado is a contemporary reinterpretation of Manuel de Falla’s music, blending tradition with a free, modern vision. Pianist and composer Moisés P. Sánchez approaches de Falla’s work in a harmonic and structural approach influenced by jazz, symphonic rock, classical music and French Impressionism. The programme features some of his iconic pieces, adapted for a trio with a fresh, contemporary sound. Improvisation plays a central role, as an organic continuation of the composition, blurring the line between written and spontaneous music. Sánchez is accompanied by violinist Ana María Valderrama and double bassist Pablo Martín Caminero, two internationally renowned musicians.
