Both are from Galicia: Mercedes Peón, singer, musician and expert on the region’s folklore, Janet Novás, dancer, actress and teacher, who has worked, inter alia, with Les ballets C de la B. This musical dance duet derives from the alchemy of the two performers who enter into dialogue with each other. Movements, voices and music seek their limits, their porosities too. Mercedes máis eu, winner of the 2021 Catalan Critics’ Prize, draws on the heritage of Galicia, with the spirit of punk and an emancipating eagerness.
