What happens when the classic fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty gets a contemporary twist from a cyborg and trans-non-binary perspective? In The Making of a Lethargy, Spanish performer and young creator Héctor Espuela Pablo (They/Them, She/Her) takes you on an intriguing quest exploring the tension fields between fiction and reality, irony and pain, and the relationship between self and other. Central is a life-size doll — a replica of Héctor themselves. This doll is brought to life and forms the playful, yet confrontational centerpiece of the performance. A fascinating short solo that plays with boundaries between dream and reality, a creation commissioned by EUROPALIA ESPAÑA.
