Dämon. Bergman’s Funeral

    • Théâtre de Liège, Liège
    • Théâtre de Liège, Liège

Legend has it that Ingmar Bergman planned his own funeral down to the last detail: music, location, coffin, decoration, turning his last journey into his ultimate work of art. Angélica Liddell takes the Swedish filmmaker at his word, transforming the scene into a funeral oration that honours his lost soul. In her intense, radical style, the performer-director dominates the podium to reflect on death, art and loneliness. She invites us to make the theater once again the ultimate place of catharsis. Dämon opened the Festival of Avignon in 2024 in the Palais des Papes. This unique theatrical trip finally comes to Belgium too!
