1936

  • KVS BOL, Brussels

On 18 July 1936, a military coup in Spain leads to a civil war that will continue to rage for three years. It marks the start of an economic, political and social regime that will remain in place for forty years, and that still today impacts all layers and classes of Spanish society. 1936, directed by Andrés Lima, offers a critical, controversial look-back on this period. A theatrical trip of just over four hours, with a top Spanish cast.

In collaboration with INAEM Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música, Ministerio de Cultura de España and 50 años de España en Libertad
