Anacronía.
The Bach-Abel Society

  • Concertgebouw Brugge, Bruges

Anacronía is an ensemble seeking to strike a new relationship between classical music and audiences in concert format. Central to their performances are spontaneity and playing with musical anachronisms.
The project The Bach-Abel Society refers to the London high-society gatherings around legendary concerts by Johann Christian Bach and Carl Friedrich Abel, featuring their own compositions as well as those of Haydn and Juan Oliver Astorga, among others. Anacronía invites the audience to seek the same mix of intimacy, elegance and innovation as that of more than two centuries ago.
