Programme by the Spanish Embassy
This exhibition presents a series of installations featuring photographs and videos by visual artist Aitor Lara, accompanied by an original sound design by Kanseisounds. The multimedia project delves into the very roots of the creative process underlying contemporary flamenco culture, with a particular focus on the disciplines of cante jondo and dance.
The curatorial narrative unfolds as a sophisticated dialogue where multiple artistic languages intertwine, enriched by the collaboration of painters Santiago Ydáñez and Patricio Hidalgo. The exhibition constructs a mirrored story, offering a free-flowing analogy between photographic/documentary imagery and contemporary creation. It is a creative process that forges bridges, generates visual relationships, and reveals the invisible connections between raw reality and the narrative structures of contemporary flamenco.
